The Story Behind The Painting -
“Wrestling With A Dream” is an Acrylic Painting on the back of an Event Poster. The Card is an 11” x 17” Poster promoting the Event. As I was thinking of a name for this work, I had in error (without checking) thought that the poster was a “wrestling poster”, and I did not look at the other side. Hence the “Wrestling” reference. The poster was, in fact, a “Monster Truck” Event! The dream for me has always been to be able to make art. I do believe that this art piece succeeds in portraying the struggle, the activity and the joy I had as I painted it. Of course I am always happy when surprises emerge, and when subliminal (hidden) imagery is revealed. I have used this image as the basis for a Suite of Ten Prints which can be seen in the Suites section under “Galleries”
